Run for Student Government - Join or start a student-run club - Get inducted into an honor society - Hop on the PATH train with a fellow student to see a Broadway show - Discover and explore a new museum or landmark in the region - Participate in a community service project - Meet new people and learn about new cultures and experiences - Expand your skills and resume.

The key to a fulfilling and successful collegiate experience is rooted in leadership and involvement! Let us help you leave your legacy and prepare for your next step.

Hudson County Community College recognizes that classroom instruction is vital to your professional and career development. We also know extra-curricular activities — and developing meaningful and rewarding relationships — are just as important to expanding your experiences and preparing you for your life after Hudson.

Our Office of Student Activities (OSA) provides a whole host of activities and events to engage you with other members of the community and to fulfill your cultural and recreational interests and needs. The OSA staff advises the Student Government Association, approximately 30 clubs and organizations, various honor societies, and sponsors and produces the College’s annual Lecture Series, organizes parties and events for members of the community, and coordinates the sales of discounted tickets and trips to Broadway shows, sporting events, museums, theme parks, movie theaters and many other events and venues.

OSA is also responsible for providing comprehensive leadership training to students through our various workshops and conferences, and the work done through our campus’ chapter of the National Society for Leadership and Success. The College also has chapters of two national honor societies — Phi Theta Kappa and Psi Beta. In addition to this, we assist in the production of our campus newspaper, The Orator.

You are invited to learn more about the events and activities offered by Student Activities, and to become involved. Not only do employers look for involvement in leadership opportunities and community projects when considering candidates’ credentials for work, but the contacts you make when you participate in these activities may serve as the foundation for lifetime friendships and networking resources. Remember – It’s not what you know, or even who you’s who knows YOU.

Keep abreast of all of the upcoming Student Activities events — check out bulletin boards all around our campuses, the events section of MyHudson, and like us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
