    • Online Learning – Faculty Information
    • We are here to support everyone through this crisis and have created a COVID site for faculty as well as updated our portal page with several resources. In response to faculty needs, COL is providing workshops (you must register using your HCCC Email) and has converted the Faculty Online Orientation to meet the needs of remote instruction. Those who are teaching online now have a Certification for Teaching Online course that they can join. Students who are joining remote classes also have a course Canvas for the Classroom Student available where we support them through all the way.

      Canvas course sites

      • Every course has a Canvas site.
      • If your course is not on the Canvas Dashboard, click Courses on the global menu bar, then click All Courses and find your course there. If you still don’t see it, it’s likely you are not listed by the Registrar as the Instructor in Colleague/Liberty Link, and you should reach out to your subject area Coordinator and/or Dean.
      • Canvas course sites need to be “published” to be available to the students; to save a step, all Canvas course sites have been published by the COL.
      • For semester start times, visit the Academic Calendar page on the MyHudson Portal. (Faculty have access to Online courses two weeks prior to the course starting.)

      Hudson Online Instructors

      • Online and hybrid courses for have their content loaded, and should be checked by Hudson Online Instructors.
      • For your students: The Center for Online Learning has created a more extensive self-paced Canvas course, Hudson Online Orientation for Students which is free, non-credit, and optional. Students enrolled in a Hudson Online course will be automatically enrolled in this course.

      • Canvas provides 24/7 live support to all HCCC faculty via phone (call 833-685-8350). Click the Help icon on the green Navigation Bar in Canvas for other Help options. Canvas also supports students directly by phone (833-225-1548) or email (
