    POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

    Cancellations and Rescheduling
    All cancellations of on-campus recruitment sessions must be completed in writing to career@hccc.edu, three business days in advance of the scheduled event. All cancellations or changes to on-campus interview schedules must be communicated directly to your interviewees, and in writing to career@hccc.edu.

    Alcohol
    Hudson County Community College is an educational institution committed to maintaining an environment that allows students to fully benefit from their learning experience and to understand the negative consequences of the illicit use of alcohol and drugs on their lives. In accordance with the policy approved by the Board of Trustees of HCCC, and in accordance with Public Law 101-226, the College declares that it will make every effort to provide its students with an environment that is free of the problems associated with the unauthorized use and abuse of alcohol and illegal drugs.

    The College is committed to promoting the health and positive self-development of its students. The unauthorized use or the abuse of alcohol and drugs inhibit students from attaining the full measure of their learning experience, expose them to serious illnesses and health risks and, therefore, are prohibited. The College wishes to comply with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988, 41 USC-701 et seq., and other relevant substance-abuse laws.

    Third-Party Agencies
    Third-party representative will conduct recruiting at HCCC under the name of the hiring organization. The Career Services Office will be permitted to verify this information by contacting the named client(s) to ensure compliance with NACE and Hudson County Community College policies.

    Under no circumstances may student information be disclosed for any reason other than recruiting purposes with the designated client(s), nor may it be sold or distributed to other entities. Third-party recruiters coming to Journal Square or North Hudson campus will represent only one firm during the Job & Internship Fair.

    Non-Discrimination Policy
    The Office of Career Services makes its interviewing facilities and position-listing services available to employers who do not unlawfully discriminate in the selection of candidates on the basis of national origin, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other basis prohibited by applicable law. Any employer who makes use of the College’s facilities or services must agree to abide by this policy and, if interviewing students, talk in good faith with students who have been selected for an interview and to refrain from questioning students regarding the above protected classifications.

    NACE Principles for Professional Practice
    All employment professionals participating in our recruiting program are required to work within a framework of professionally accepted recruiting, interviewing and selection techniques as stipulated in the NACE Principles for Professional Practice.

    Solicitation
    In order to minimize personal inconvenience and interference with College activities, no persons shall sell, solicit, or promote anything, including subscription, pledges, memberships, or other types of support for any drives, campaigns, causes, or organizations anywhere on College property.
