      Characteristics of Self-Empowerment for Job Seekers

      This course will provide an overview of the behaviors an effective job seeker needs to master and emulate in attaining self-empowerment while in the job search. It provides a review of the different types of power that all individuals possess and how to apply them effectively.

      Objectives: Upon Completion of this Program Participants Will:
         •   Understand the characteristics of an effective leader and understand why they are critical when in job transition.
         •   Describe the types of power bestowed upon individuals and how it is perceived in society and organizations.
         •   Understand the concept of resiliency and the behaviors associated with the Ten Characteristics of Self-Empowerment and why they are important when job searching.
         •   Determine which areas they need to develop their personal plan for self-empowerment.
         •   Recognize some of the negative stereotypes that are projected onto job seekers both in organizations and in society as a whole.

      Interpersonal Communications Skills: The Pathway to Self-Empowerment

      The importance of Effective Communications in the workplace is discussed and explored through discussion and some interactive activities. Participants will explore the importance of oral and written communications skills as well as assertive communications skills and listening skills.

      Upon Completion of this course participants will:
         •   Understand the role and process of interpersonal communications in the workplace.
         •   Recognize the impact of verbal and nonverbal techniques.
         •   Review assertive communication styles.
         •   Review listening skills as they relate to interpersonal communication skills.
         •   Develop individual action plans designed to apply course teachings on the job.

      Leadership: Building Self-Empowered Teams

      Leading in a team-based environment requires a combination of skills. Leadership: Building Self-Empowered Teams is a customized course that is designed to address the individualized needs for each client organization. In this course participants learn skills that assist in increasing self-awareness and personal effectiveness and learn self-leadership by applying the Ten Characteristics of Self-Empowerment.

      Upon Completion of this course participants will:
         •   Become a more effective leader of others in a team setting through self-leadership.
         •   Make more effective choices as they relate to personal responsibility, discipline, planning, and integrity.

      Podcasting Essentials For Beginners

      This is a Beginners course for anyone interested in creating, launching, and growing a successful podcast. There are currently over one million podcasts available in the Apple Podcasts directory, and the medium is booming. By the end of the course, you will be able to launch a podcast in directories like Apple and Spotify while delivering a clear and concise message to your audience.

      Power vs. Perception: Ten Characteristics of Self-Empowerment for Women

      Power vs. Perception: Ten Characteristics of Self-Empowerment for Women is a specialized, course that focuses on the characteristics that are critical for a woman's leadership success in business today and provides tools to aid in their development.
      This customized program, based on the book Power vs. Perception: Ten Characteristics of Self-Empowerment for Women provides a clear overview and instructions for the behaviors an effective woman business leader needs to master and emulate in attaining self-empowerment for business and organizational success. It provides a review of some of the challenges powerful women encounter on a daily basis as they exert their power or authority.

      Resiliency: Successfully Navigating the Waves of Change

      Everyone looks at change differently. Some view it as positive and necessary; others view it as a problem. A change can be any business, career-related or personal experience requiring a significant change in a person's performance or attitude and the events and feelings he or she experiences during the change process. This course will help participants identify more concretely with the concepts of change and provide tools for developing resiliency for managing the continuous changes that occur on a daily basis in today's modern business culture.

      Upon Completion of this course participants will be able to:
         •   State the elements that drive organizations to change.
         •   Identify the stages that individuals experience during the change process.
         •   Develop strategies to develop the resiliency needed to effectively manage themselves and others through continuous changes.

This customized program provides a clear overview of the behaviors an effective leader needs to master and emulate in attaining self-empowerment for business and organizational success.       Self-publishing can prove to be both emotionally satisfying and financially lucrative. The art of bringing your ideas from conception to fruition often requires the guidance of an expert. During our four-hour workshop, you will receive the guidance needed to enter the self-publishing world.       Supply Chain Management Principles

      "The Supply Chain Management Principles certification track is a great place to start and is considered to be a ‘launch pad’ to begin your supply chain educational and certification process. It provides a high-level overview of each of the functions in a supply chain. After you complete this track, you will have a broad appreciation for how each of the individual supply chain functions operate and how they are ‘linked’ in a chain to enable organizations to plan and execute product and service delivery to achieve customer satisfaction.       The Basics of Infographics

Working with a skilled illustrator, students will learn methods for creating instructional illustrations that seamlessly communicate messages to diverse audiences.

      Intro to Creative Writing

      Emerging writers have stories to tell. They also have questions: “How do I start?”; “How do I write what I want to say?”; and “How do I stay motivated?” This interactive, five-session online course will help participants get started. Establish a productive writing practice and writing community, and learn the basic elements of effective writing; and keep going, stay motivated and focused to complete writing goals in any genre.

      Participants have the choice of registering for all five session or register for the topic they are interested in working on.

      Following is a brief description of each two-hour session:
         •   Session 1: Establish a Productive Writing Practice: Identify strategies and approaches that work for and evolve with you and keep you motivated.
         •   Session 2: Read Like a Writer: Analyze texts of all genres to expand your knowledge of what does and doesn’t work and the different possibilities for your own work.
         •   Session 3: Plot Development: Learn how to keep the action moving and compelling.
         •   Session 4: Description: Learn how to build worlds with words.
         •   Session 5: Characters: Learn how to develop interesting and believable characters.
