    Become a QuickBooks Certified User with Hudson County Community College! This two-part national certification program benefits bookkeepers, accountants, and financial professionals by giving those with no prior QuickBooks experience a deeper understanding of this industry standard software. Prior knowledge of accounting principles required. Students will qualify to take the certification exam after part II is completed. Book is sold separately.

    Prezi Training! A new platform for making presentations

    Prezi is an online platform that allows users to create a visually stunning presentation that blows a simple slide presentation out of the water. During this course, you will learn the basics of creating a Prezi presentation, and also get tips along the way in order to make your presentations effective.

    Microsoft Office Specialist Certification (Excel)

    Students will learn how to create and edit a workbook with multiple sheets, and use a graphic element to represent data visually. Workbook examples include professional-looking budgets, financial statements, team performance charts, sales invoices, and data-entry logs.

    Pivot tables are one of the most powerful and essential features in Excel that allow summarizing, sorting, reorganizing, and grouping large amounts of data. Pivot tables give you the flexibility to extract and understand detailed information from a database efficiently.     Many people use Excel and Word at home or at work, but many are not utilizing all its benefits. This quick course is designed to help you maximize productivity in your daily workflow, by learning some essential, intermediate Excel and word functions. Students will learn how to create basic formulas, create tables, group, sort, and filter data, use VLOOKUP, and create pivot tables. Microsoft Word Intermediate will teach you how to create complex documents by adding components such as, customized lists, tables, charts, and graphics. Please note: this class is not designed to prepare the student for certification as a Microsoft Office Specialist.

    PowerPoint

    This class will teach you how to use Microsoft PowerPoint to create interactive presentations containing text, art, animation, and audio and video elements. Starting with the basics, you will discover how to work with the PowerPoint 2016 interface and to design your slides. You will also learn to add images, audio, and video for engaging slides and to create amazing advanced animation effects.
