      Patient Access Representatives (PAR)

      This program provides students with the understanding of the healthcare delivery system, the role of the PAR, and the tools needed to provide exceptional customer service in a medical office or hospital setting. Five modules are tailored to individuals with little to no experience who wish to pursue an entry level career in a healthcare setting.
      Credentials: NAHAM Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA)
      Dates: March 23 - July 17
      Time: Monday - Thursday, 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

      Hemodialysis Technician Program

      Credentials: Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) through the Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing Technology (BONENT).

      This course prepares students for an entry-level position as a Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) with the required skills, knowledge and values to function as members of the clinical care team in both chronic (outpatient) and hospital (acute) setting. The course content includes, but is not limited defined CHT skills, the interpersonal skills, legal and ethical considerations in healthcare and Basic Life Support (BLS). Upon completion, students are eligible to pursue certification immediately through the Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing Technology (BONENT) as a Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT).



      Fast Track Patient Care Technician

      The role and job description of the Patient Care Technician is presented. Students are introduced to the expanded members of the healthcare team and departments in the acute care setting. National Safety Compliance training addressing Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and the Hospital Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) guidelines are presented preparing students to achieve certification. Infection prevention and control of nosocomial infections, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and medical and aseptic techniques employed in the acute care environment are reviewed.

      Credentials:
      ●    OSHA & HIPAA certificate of training by the National Safety Compliance
      ●    EKG Technician Certification by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
      ●    Phlebotomy Technician Certification by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
      ●    Patient Care Technician Certification by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
      ●    Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association (AHA)

      Total Program hours: 210-225 hours
      Tuition per student:: $4,000 per person (not including uniform, drug test or Phlebotomy Liability Insurance or books).

      Pre-NLN Preparation Course

      The NLN Pre-Admission Exam evaluates the academic ability of nursing majors to identify the most qualified candidates among those seeking admittance into nursing schools nationwide. This course assists students in preparing for the exam by mastering the subject matter covered in the math and science portions. Students will also learn test-taking strategies that will help them achieve a high composite score.
      Spring 2020 Dates: May 30 - June 27
      Time: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

      Certified Nurse Aide Training Program

      In this 90-hour New Jersey State Approved Certified Nurse Aide program, students will be prepared for the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services Skills and Written Examination. The course will consist of classroom and clinical setting instruction. Typical work settings for graduates of CNA programs are primary long-term care facilities or acute care facilities.
      Winter 2020 Dates: Monday - Thursday, February 24 - April 2
      Time: 5 p.m. - 10:15 p.m.

      Alternate Winter 2020 Dates: Saturday and Sunday, February 29 - April 25
      Time: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

      Spring 2020 Start Date: April 6, 2020
      Days: Monday - Thursday
      Time: 5 p.m. - 10:15 p.m.

      Alternate Spring 2020 Start Date: May 18, 2020
      Days: Monday - Thursday
      Time: 5 p.m. - 10:15 p.m.

      Basic Life Support Training Certification (BLS)

      Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers (BLS) uses a scenario-based approach to develop the critical thinking and problem solving skills that drive better outcomes for adult, child, and infant patients.
