That kind of commitment is not for everybody.Can I do two careers at one time?School must be a priority. Studying to be an RT is a demanding, full-time job. In addition to hours in the classroom and at clinical sites, you will need extensive time for studying. Please make sure you can dedicate the time and crucial attention it will take and ask for your family’s help and support too. Do I really want to do this?Your friends think you will be great at it but is your heart really in it? Patients deserve high-quality care from professionals who choose to love focusing on diagnostic imaging. Give yourself permission to change your plans if you’ve realized that radiologic technology just isn’t for you. Am I settling on a profession?Do not settle for this because the program you really wanted was full. If your career choice does not ignite a passion in you, you will be unhappy.Do I have fortitude to do this?Do not set yourself up for failure thinking the program’s too hard or you won’t fit in. It is going to be very challenging, but if you have been accepted, you have go what it takes to succeed. Remain focused, always study hard and ask for help when you need it.
