AMERICAN REGISTRY OF RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGISTS (ARRT)
Prior to graduating from the program, the student will apply to take a computerized examination of 200 multiple choice questions given by the ARRT. Upon graduation, payment of application fee, and verification that the candidate must comply with the Rules of Ethics contained in the ARRT Standards of Ethics in order to sit for the examination, the candidate will receive confirmation of eligibility to schedule to take the exam at a Pearson VUE testing center. After passing the exam, the candidate is entitled to use the initials RT (R) after his/her name.
Please visit www.arrt.org for further information.
In order for a graduate to work in the State of New Jersey, he or she must first become licensed by the Department of Environmental Protection’s Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners. The application for licensure is submitted after the graduate passes the ARRT exam and also verifies that he/she must be of good moral character to receive the license to practice.
