Hudson County Community College Offers Intermediate Microsoft Excel Course

July 10, 2018 , Jersey City, NJ - Hudson County Community College (HCCC) Continuing Education Department has a special opportunity for those who wish to become more proficient in using Microsoft Excel. The College will offer a special three-session course this summer.


While many people use Microsoft Excel at work and at home, not everyone utilizes all of its benefits. This course is designed to help maximize productivity by providing instruction on some essential and intermediate Excel functions. In addition to learning how to create basic formulas and tables (and pivot tables), attendees will be instructed on how to group, sort, and filter data, and use VLOOKUP. The course will also review the how-to’s of managing multiple sheet worksheets, 3D references in formulas, format painter and quick styles, using “What-If” analysis and assumptions in a worksheet, date functions and custom formats, naming cells and ranges, creating formulas using criteria IF functions, using conditional formatting, function syntax, and using goal seek and solver. Please note: this course is not designed to prepare for certification as a Microsoft Office Specialist.


The course will take place on the College’s Journal Square Campus on Wednesdays, July 18, 25, and August 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Space is limited, and cost is $119 per person.
