Colombian-Americans Can Participate in the Colombian Presidential Election at Hudson County Community College’s North Hudson Campus

May 22, 2018 , Jersey City, NJ – The estimated 4,000 Colombian citizens living in Hudson County can take a stand on Colombia’s political and economic future by voting in this year’s presidential election.


The Consulate General of Colombia in Newark is hosting voting for the 2018 elections on Sunday, May 27, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hudson County Community College’s North Hudson Campus, located at 4800 Kennedy Boulevard in Union City. If no party gets the majority vote, a second round of voting will take place on June 17. Last spring, approximately 700 Hudson County residents voted at the College’s North Hudson Campus for Colombian Congress and House of Representative members.


The Colombian presidential candidates include Ivan Duque, Humberto de La Calle, Sergio Fajardo, Gustavo Petro, and Germán Vargas Lleras .
