Professor Frane, who is Certified in Nursing Education, has been a member of the HCCC Nursing faculty since 2017. From 1982 to 2017, she taught as part of the Nursing faculty at Christ Hospital School of Nursing, and CarePoint Health School of Nursing.

A CCRN, Professor Frane worked for 11 years in critical care. She is the recipient of the National League for Nurses Mary Adelaide Nutting Award for Outstanding Teaching or Leadership in Nursing Education.
