Please note that not all HCCC courses are available online. An explanation of the different modalities (online, hybrid, etc.) is provided here.

To view online course offerings, view the online course schedule. The course schedule shows the online courses being offered. Choose your semester on the left. You can add other filters such as Subject.

Fully Online Degree and Certificate Programs

Our fully online degree and certificate programs are listed below. Although the entire degree can be completed online, please note that some elective course options may not be available in the fully online degree program. We are always adding more online degree and certification programs, so please check back periodically.

Business

Accounting AS
The transfer-oriented two-year A.S. in Accounting program is the first step towards professional licensure and certification in both public and private sector accounting. The program is designed for students seeking a four-year accounting degree that meets eligibility requirements for the CPA or CMA exam. The degree also provides a solid background for junior-level entry into the accounting workplace.

Accounting Certificate
The Certificate in Accounting program prepares graduates already in the field of accounting, along with new accounting students, with the minimal accounting job skills required for immediate employment. Potential careers include positions in accounting, bookkeeping, financial analysis, tax preparation and payroll accounting.

Business Administration AS
Graduates of this degree are also qualified for entry-level administrative and management positions. The program provides business knowledge and skills as the foundation for more specialized and/or advanced study.

Business (Liberal Arts) AA
Do you want to broaden your business knowledge and specialize in an area of business where you can transfer your knowledge to a four-year institution or the workforce?  This business degree provides you with the knowledge and skills that universities and employers are looking for.

Education

Early Childhood Education (Liberal Arts) AA
The education department at HCCC is dedicated to preparing future teachers to successfully enter the field of education. The Early Childhood Associate in Applied Science prepares students to immediately enter the workforce. Graduates are prepared to begin their careers working with three- to five-year-olds as assistant teachers.

Elementary/Secondary Education (Liberal Arts) AA
The education department at HCCC prepares future teachers to successfully enter the field of education. The Associate in Elementary and Secondary Education at HCCC is dedicated to preparing future teachers to successfully transfer to a four-year school to pursue a Bachelor’s in Elementary or Secondary education and earn a NJ teacher’s license.

Special Education (Liberal Arts) AA
The Associate in Special Education at HCCC is dedicated to preparing future teachers to successfully transfer to a four-year school to pursue a Bachelor’s in varied education degree programs and obtain a NJ teacher’s license.

Health Professions

Community Healthcare Navigator - Proficiency Certificate
This proficiency certificate prepares students for entry-level healthcare navigation employment opportunities in physician practices, clinics, and community health centers. The work of a navigator varies based on the organization and specialty areas of the employer. Navigators assist clients with the complicated process of accessing and using medical systems.

Health Sciences AAS

Health Services AS
This program is designed to prepare students for seamless transfer into baccalaureate institutions in health related degrees. Many of these health related positions are not directly involved in patient care but serve as supportive services for the health care enterprise. 

Health Services Option in Public Health AS
Public Health is a dynamic field that focuses on improving and maintaining health on a population level through disease and injury prevention strategies. An Associate in Science degree in public health provides students interested in healthcare occupations a firm foundation of knowledge to continue in the many disciplines of the field.

Humanities and Social Sciences

Criminal Justice AS
Get prepared for successful careers in a variety of positions in federal, state and local law enforcement agencies as police, corrections, court officers, security officers, or a number of administrative positions.

English AA
This program is intended for students who want to broaden and deepen their understanding of literature and develop their own writing skills for professional and scholarly purposes, as well as for personal growth. Graduates will be able to advance to four-year programs in English, Writing, Creative Writing, Communications, Literature, or Journalism, as well as any other majors in which writing skills and an appreciation of literature are required.

History (Liberal Arts) AA
This program prepares students for transfer to four-year colleges or universities after completing two years of undergraduate coursework at HCCC. Graduating students may advance to majors in history or related subjects.

Liberal Arts (General) AA
This program prepares students for transfer to four-year colleges or universities after completing two years of undergraduate coursework at HCCC.

Psychology (Liberal Arts) AA
This program prepares students for transfer to four-year colleges or universities after completing two years of undergraduate coursework at HCCC. Graduating students may advance to majors in psychology or related subjects.

Our classes are very affordable. No matter where you live, we offer in-county tuition rates for fully online programs, and our cost-per-credit is well below the average. Financial Aid is available for online students.
