Senior Assistant Director, Advisement
As a Hudson Scholars Academic Counselor, Mackenzie helps students transition to HCCC
and to form their identity as a student. In her regular meetings with students, she
talks about major exploration, the transfer process, and registration while helping
them define their goals. In her role as Senior Assistant Director, she works in program
operations and development, implementing the systems and workflows that keeps Hudson
Scholars effective and innovative. At the core, Mackenzie builds relationships with
students, sharing stories about accomplishments and obstacles, all while setting up
a path to success at the college and beyond.
Mackenzie joined HCCC in August 2021 as one of the founding Hudson Scholars Academic
Counselors. Previously, she was an Academic Success Coach at Merrimack College, specializing
in students on academic probation. While at HCCC, Mackenzie has presented at the First
Year Experience Conference and the Community College Futures Assembly, where she was
part of the team to win the 2023 Bellwether Award for Instructional Programs and Services.
In 2023, Mackenzie received a new title of Senior Assistant Director for Program Operations
and Development.
