Step into the refined world of artisanal doughnut making—an immersive, hands-on experience designed to elevate your craft.

This elevated, hands-on doughnut course is designed for those looking to refine their pastry skills and explore the art of doughnut making on a deeper level. Students will learn four distinct techniques, including yeast-risen, sourdough, baked, and fried doughnuts—each offering its own texture, flavor profile, and level of craftsmanship.

Throughout the class, students will gain insight into dough development, fermentation, proper frying techniques, and finishing methods used in professional pastry kitchens. You’ll also have the opportunity to experiment with unique and elevated flavor combinations, allowing you to put a creative spin on this classic treat.

In This Class, You’ll Create:

  • Yeasted doughnuts filled with pastry creams (matcha, dulce de leche), fruit compotes, or specialty fillings like cheesecake, lemon curd, Nutella, and marshmallow fluff.
  • Boston cream–style doughnuts finished with rich chocolate glaze.
  • Light and airy French crullers with champagne glaze and specialty dips.
  • Classic and modern cake doughnuts (nutmeg citrus, chocolate, ube, sour cream cinnamon).
  • Seasonal baked doughnuts (pumpkin spice, apple cider, lemon poppyseed, red velvet).
  • A variety of mix-and-match glazes (chocolate, strawberry, coffee/tiramisu, tea-infused, praline/caramel).
  • Elevated finishes using toppings like nut brittle, chocolate curls, spiced sugars, edible flowers, and gold accents.
  • Enjoy complimentary beverages, including coffee and tea, as you work through each stage of the process in our professional culinary kitchens.

By the end of the course, each student will leave with a beautifully curated bakery box filled with their own handcrafted assortment of doughnuts—perfect for sharing (or keeping all to yourself!).

Instructor: Chef Espino is an experienced pastry chef who loves sharing professional techniques in a fun, relaxed environment for all skill levels.

Culinary Class Refund Policy:

  • All sales are final due to the limited seating in our kitchens, as well as the amount of prep time and food cost associated with each registered student.
  • While we don’t offer refunds or credits, you may send someone to attend in your place. We ask that you please email us well in advance so that we can be prepared for any changes to the guest list.

Culinary Class Schedule Changes:

  • If the College Cancels a Course a full refund is issued.
  • Non-attendance to a Class/Program does not constitute a withdrawal, nor entitle the participant to a refund.
  • Please confirm work schedules before registering for classes. Refunds and credits will not be issued due to change of work schedule.

Participants will receive an email detailing information on each class a few days before the start of class.
