Biography

Brianna is an Academic Counselor at Hudson County Community College's (HCCC) North Hudson Campus (NHC). She provides academic advisement to HCCC students in English and Spanish. Brianna advises students on the following topics: course registration, major exploration, transferring to a four-year college or university, and more. She is also actively involved in several committees such as the transfer committee, the CASS programming committee, and the JED team.

Brianna is a first-generation Latinx college graduate. She first earned her bachelor's degree in Family Science and Human Development with a concentration in Family Services from Montclair State University (MSU). She then worked in the social services field for two years before earning her master's degree in Counseling with a concertation in Student Affairs/Counseling in Higher Education from MSU. She has worked in the field of academic advisement and programming for the past two years. As a first-generation higher education professional, Brianna strives to provide students of diverse backgrounds with equitable services and genuine support throughout their higher educational journeys.
