Biography
Dr. Clark serves as Dean of Student Affairs, overseeing the Hudson Helps Resource Center, Mental Health Counseling and Wellness, and Student Life and Leadership offices. He is also the Chief Judicial Officer, Deputy Title IX Officer, and the Co-Chair of HCCC's C.A.R.E. (A Caring Approach to Respond and Empower) Team.
Dr. David Clark joined the College in 2015 as a Consultant/Interim Director of Student Activities. In 2016, he became the Assistant Dean of Student Services and, in 2019, the Associate Dean of Student Affairs. He has worked in public and private higher education institutions for over 30 years. Dr. Clark is a member of various committees and professional affiliations, including the President's Executive Council, Deans' Council, President's Advisory Council on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (PACDEI), Commencement Taskforce, All College Council, Achieving the Dream, Athletics Taskforce, New Jersey Student Affairs Affinity Group, and the Hudson County Food and Shelter Coalition. Dr. Clark was awarded the 2020 Provost's Leadership Award for his dedication and service to Hudson County Community College, the 2022 NISOD Excellence Award, and the 2023 League of Innovation in the Community College Excellence Award.
