Biography
Before coming to HCCC in 2015, Dr. Cronrath was a business consultant for 18 years,
and taught for eight years at two proprietary colleges in New York City. He serves
on several local boards and volunteers with organizations to create positive social
change in the community.
Dr. Cronrath was responsible for redesigning and updating the College’s Macroeconomics,
Microeconomics, and Marketing curricula. He co-authored a grant to install the state-of-the-art
Bloomberg Finance Lab, and serves as a faculty mentor and advisor for the Goldman
Sachs Local College Collaborative program, the NJC4 Case Competition (held by Rutgers
University), and the Horizon BC/BS Transformational Case Challenge – programs which
reflect student success through experiential experiences. He also serves on several
college committees.
In 2018, Dr. Cronrath received a National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development
(NISOD) Award for Teaching Excellence while presenting at the annual conference. His
research interests involve training and development, improving methods to develop
self-efficacy, and the impact of leadership on institutional effectiveness.
