Director of Accessibility Services
As the Director of Accessibility Services, Danielle serves as the primary compliance
and content expert for all accessibility matters at Hudson County Community College.
With extensive knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), Section
504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1974, and other disability-related laws, she works
collaboratively with various departments and programs to reduce systemic barriers
and ensure equal access for all members of the campus community.
Danielle has over ten years of direct experience in accessibility services in higher
education. She also has experience in academic advisement, administration, and curriculum
development. Her background includes designing and implementing programs and services
that support college students with disabilities in achieving success. Danielle is
dedicated to advocating for, creating opportunities, and empowering individuals with
disabilities throughout their educational and professional journey at HCCC. In addition
to her role at HCCC, Danielle teaches in the Department of Psychology at the College
of Staten Island, City University of New York. She has also developed curriculum on
psychological perspectives on disabilities, enhancing the academic understanding and
support of individuals with disabilities.
