Biography
Lori leads the School of Continuing Education and Workforce Development. She is responsible
for continuing education, workforce development, corporate training, and college catering
operations.
Lori's entrepreneurial approach to continuing education and workforce development
has resulted in training programs with best-in-class partners that make a difference
in people’s lives. Recent programs include Gateway to Innovation, a comprehensive
workforce development initiative funded by the JPMorgan Chase Foundation; the Hudson
County Workforce Leadership Academy sponsored by The Aspen Institute; Holz Technik,
a high-quality advanced manufacturing registered apprenticeship program with Eastern
Millwork, Inc.; an education program for Au Pairs; a robust English as a Second Language
program; a Summer Youth Program; an Academic and Workforce Pathway Program for justice
involved individuals; and partnerships with the New Jersey Reentry Corporation and
the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 825, among others. She has successfully
partnered with local entrepreneurs, businesses, governmental agencies, non-profit
organizations, and labor unions to create these innovative and accessible programs
for students, community members, and employers. She has presented her work at local
and national conferences including the American Association of Community Colleges,
the Association of Community College Trustees, National Council on Workforce Education,
and the International Economic Development Council. Lori received the Excellence Award
from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development in 2022; the
Excellence Award from the League of Innovation in 2022 – 2023; was a Top 10 Finalist
for the 2023 Bellwether Award for Workforce Development and received the National
Alliance for Partnerships in Equity 2023 Teamwork Award. She is a member of the New
Jersey State Rehabilitation Council; and is a subject matter expert in scaling and
sustaining programs.
