Professor O'Gara joined the HCCC faculty in 2008. Previously, she was a researcher at the Community College Research Center at Columbia University, where she realized her profound passion for teaching, particularly in the community college sector. In the classroom, Professor O’Gara engages students through collaborative and dynamic student-centered lessons.
Professor O’Gara participates in the nationally recognized Achieving the Dream (ATD) initiative at HCCC. She is currently leading a team of faculty, staff and administration charged to develop strategies that address equity gaps, and optimize pathways to help Academic Foundations students remain enrolled in school.
