EOF Counselor
Eric works in the EOF department, providing EOF students with academic, career, personal,
and financial aid advisement. Within the scope of academic advisement, Eric works
diligently towards ensuring that his students select the appropriate courses for their
selected program and that their graduation and transfer requirements are all met.
Eric also participates in the planning and implementation of programs and activities
concerning academic, social, or vocational needs of EOF students.
A New Jersey native, Eric is passionate and purposeful in leading and inspiring the
youth. His experiences ultimately encompass creating curricula, running mentorship
programs, and creating workshops centered around the betterment of Black and Latinx
individuals. Eric utilizes congeniality and vulnerability in an effort to foster genuine
bonds with those under his leadership. He has presented at conferences on topics related
to mentorship and Black men and has received an award for Mentor of the Year in Newark,
NJ. Eric has also published an article with the National Association of Social Workers
focusing on Black Masculinity.
