Dr. Pack joined the HCCC faculty as an adjunct instructor in 1996, and became an assistant professor in 2008. Prior to joining the HCCC faculty, she was a preschool in both a public and private setting. She is dedicated to child centered progressive education that is based on research, developmentally appropriate practices, and childhood development.
Dr. Pack is currently a member of the President’s Advisory Council on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (PACDEI) and the co-chair of the PACDEI Program Committee. She has previously served on a number of HCCC committees including HCCC/NJCU Dual Admittance; Governance – Chair, Student Affairs Council; Academic Affairs Council – Chair, Student Advising, Placement, and Progress; Faculty Senate - Ways and Means; and Literacy Day.
Dr. Pack research interests include critical literacy, social justice education, and teacher education. She has presented at numerous conferences including the, American Educational Research, International Critical Media Literacy Conference, Inequity and Social Justice Conference, Castle Conference: Self-Study of Teacher Education Practices, and Journal of Language and Literacy Conference. She has also published a chapter in the Textiles and Tapestries: Self-Study for Envisioning New Ways of Knowing 2020.
