She is also an adjunct professor at the College.
Christine is a dedicated financial aid professional committed to assisting students
in funding their education with the least amount of debt. She has more than 25 years
of experience in the field, serving as Director of Financial Aid at Lincoln Technical
Institute for 14 years before coming to Hudson County Community College as the Associate
Director of Financial Aid. Christine is an avid volunteer to multiple financial aid
organizations such as NJASFAA (New Jersey Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators),
serving as President in 2018-2019 after more than 10 years on executive counsel.
She also served as Vice President and Treasurer, and chaired many committees such
as Membership, College Goal Sunday, and DEI. Christine is also a member of EASFAA
(Eastern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators) and served as state
representative and Secretary from 2018-2022. Christine is currently President of the
Academic Administrative Association Union. She is also a member of the national organization
NASFAA, and attends all conferences supported by these organizations to remain current
with all regulations. These roles enhanced her leadership skills, contributed to her
knowledge of federal and state regulations, and made her an exemplary leader in her
field. These strengths empower Christine to be an avid presenter at financial aid
workshops and scholarship events, and to train new employees. Tapping into her creative
talents, Christine produced multiple newsletters, a Financial Aid Guide, flyers, and
Federal Work-Study program Handbooks for students and supervisors. These informational
materials make it easier for students to understand the FAFSA and the Financial Aid
process to support file completion and awareness of federal and state grants and loans.
Christine is the leader of the default prevention team, creating financial literacy
events to keep students current with financial planning and loan borrowing and repayment.
She is committed to educating students about their finances and using their funding
wisely to remain out of debt. Christine serves on many committees at HCCC such as
the Academic Senate, All College Council, and Generation Hope/Family U, a program
for support of student parents.
