Librarian | Secretary, All College Council
Sarah is a librarian at HCCC, where she works at the North Hudson Campus. She teaches
library instruction classes; helps students, staff, and faculty with their research
needs in one-on-one appointments; curates ibrary materials; creates educational materials;
and leads workshops. Sarah is the library's liaison to the School of Humanities, Social
Sciences, and English. She also serves on several college committees, such as the
zero-cost textbook steering committee. As of August 2023, Sarah serves as the Secretary
of the All College Council's executive committee.
Sarah graduated from Smith College with a B.A. in psychology. Following that, she
earned an M.S. in information with a concentration in library and information science
from Rutgers University. She was inducted into the library and information science
honors society for her studies there. Sarah is scheduled to complete a second master's
degree in educational technology from Boise State University at the end of 2023, as
well as a concurrent graduate certificate in designing accessible and inclusive online
education. Sarah was part of the New Jersy Library Association's 2021 Emerging Leaders
cohort and served as a member of the NJLA honors and awards committee from 2021-2023.
In 2022, Sarah presented during a poster session at the NJLA Annual Conference.
