Hudson County Community College (“College”) is committed to creating and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment. The Policy on Student Code of Conduct aims to ensure students uphold and advance HCCC’s mission, vision, and values, conduct themselves responsibly and lawfully, and comply with College policies and procedures.
The College and its Board of Trustees (“Board”) are committed to establishing the highest standards of excellence for students. While participating in academic and student life (on-campus, remote, or online), students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the College’s values, serving as good citizens of the College and the broader community. Any student violating the Student Code of Conduct will be subject to disciplinary procedures outlined in the Student Handbook. In the case of alleged violations of state and/or federal statutes, the student may be reported directly to appropriate authorities. Students are expected to exercise integrity and sound judgment in all that they do.
The Board delegates to the President the responsibility to develop procedures and guidelines for implementing this policy. The Office of the Dean of Student Affairs shall be responsible for implementing the procedures and guidelines developed for this policy.
