Hudson County Community College to Celebrate the Opening of the Students’ Art Exhibition with a Panel Discussion and Reception

May 2, 2018, Jersey City, NJ – The Hudson County Community College (HCCC) Department of Cultural Affairs will host a panel discussion and reception in conjunction with the opening of the HCCC Art Students’ Biannual Art Exhibit. The event, which will be held on Friday, May 4 from 2 to 5 p.m., will take place in the College’s Dineen Hull Gallery – 71 Sip Avenue in Jersey City (across the street from the Journal Square PATH Transportation Center). The event is open to the general public and there is no charge for admission. Those attending will be able to view the students work, tour the classrooms, meet faculty, and enjoy light refreshments. This year’s exhibition is in memoriam of Heather Acosta, class of 2016, A.F.A in Studio Arts.

The Student Art Review, which will be on display from May 4 through May 18, will include works by:

HCCC Professor and Program of Fine Arts Coordinator Laurie Riccadonna and Associate Professor and Computer Art Coordinator Jeremiah Teipen curated the exhibit. Ms. Riccadonna earned a Master’s degree in Fine Arts, and Painting and Printmaking from Yale University. Her work has been featured in dozens of exhibitions throughout the United States and Europe. Mr. Teipen holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts. He has been the recipient of several awards including grants from the Asian Cultural Council, SIGGRAPH, Seoul Foundation of Arts & Culture and Arts Council Korea.

The Benjamin J. Dineen, III and Dennis C. Hull Gallery’s spring hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Gallery is closed on Sundays and holidays.
