Hudson County Community College (HCCC) will hold its 46th Commencement Ceremony on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 10:45 a.m. at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ. Approximately 1,500 graduates, a college record, will be joined by family, friends, elected officials, the College’s Trustees, as well as HCCC faculty and staff.

Between taking care of a family and working, it isn’t always easy to go back to school as a nontraditional student like HCCC’s Raida Al Hattab. But not only did Raida successfully juggle all of these responsibilities during her time at HCCC, she thrived, earning a 4.0 GPA on her way to being named a semifinalist for the Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship.

For the second year in a row, Hudson County Community College (HCCC) has received the national “2023 Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges” Award.

On Thursday, May 4, 2023, Hudson County Community College (HCCC) will welcome Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) President Dr. Antonio Flores and other HACU leaders and members, higher education representatives, state legislators, corporate and community leaders, and many invited participants for “HACU on the Road.”

Hudson County Community College (HCCC) is pleased to announce that Lori Margolin, Associate Vice President of Continuing Education and Workforce Development, and her Gateway to Innovation Team, and Natalia Vazquez-Bodkin, Associate Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), received awards from the National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity (NAPE).

The start of one’s college career is a major adjustment for any student. It’s an even bigger adjustment when you are new to the country and don’t yet speak the language. That’s exactly where Hudson County Community College’s Birva Pinto found herself just a few years ago after relocating to New Jersey from her home country of Angola in 2019.

Recently, Hudson County Community College continued to serve as a thought leader at the forefront of social and racial justice by hosting another successful nationwide “Teaching and Learning Symposium on Social Justice in Higher Education.”

Hudson County Community College (HCCC) announced that 823 students representing 62 municipalities were named to the Dean’s List in recognition of their outstanding academic performance during the Fall 2022 semester.

As the saying goes, people learn best by example, and Dr. Clive Li, Hudson County Community College (HCCC) Assistant Professor of Engineering Science, most certainly is the model of an inspiring educator.
