The HCCC Environmental Club actively promotes raising awareness regarding environmental issues within the Hudson County Community College Journal Square and North Hudson campuses. The Environment Club at HCCC is looking to change our community through different projects that will be done in the Hudson County area. We work, go to school, and put our energy into whatever we may be doing - however, we often forget about taking care of the area where we live. The Environmental Club at HCCC wants to change this, by reminding us all to be earth-friendly. Some of our projects include what we call “clean-ups”, where we visit various places in the neighborhood and clean the area by getting rid of the garbage. We would like to invite more students to be active and volunteer to be a part of these clean-ups. In addition to doing clean-ups, we want to promote things such as recycling, stopping littering in the community, and using reusable energy instead of sticking to fossil fuels. Thanks to modern technology, reusable energy is becoming more popular (i.e solar panels, wind turbines) and we would like to connect with different establishments to reduce the usage of fossil fuels. Please let us know if you want to be a part of improving our society by working with us. Thank you.
