Program Coordinator, Transfer Pathways
In the role of Transfer Pathways Coordinator at the College, Rimsha is responsible
for promoting the Transfer Pathways office through the planning and execution of events,
programs, and services aimed at HCCC students pursuing transfer opportunities. She
updates and maintains promotional materials, brochures, flyers, and newsletters. Additionally,
she actively participates in college events and serves as point of contact for various
stakeholders including prospective and current students, staff, faculty, and four-year
partners. Overall, her goal is to optimize the transfer experience and to promote
student achievement within the Hudson County community.
With a diverse and accomplished professional background, Rimsha brings a wealth of
experience and expertise to their roles. She is currently serving as an Adjunct Professor
and Program Coordinator for Transfer Pathways at Hudson County Community College,
which actively promotes the Transfer Pathways Department to the college community,
organizes events, manages communication and marketing plans, and maintains promotional
materials. Her role also involves establishing and nurturing relationships with students,
faculty, and four-year partners to ensure a smooth transition process. Additionally,
Rimsha served as a Career and Academic Advisor at the college, where she provided
comprehensive guidance to students on academic and career matters, developed and implemented
strategic planning programs, and fostered strong connections with employers and industry
professionals to facilitate job placements. Prior to her roles at Hudson County Community
College, she gained valuable experience as a Graduate Assistant at New Jersey City
University, where she contributed to the development and delivery of health science
courses, provided individualized academic support to students, and facilitated technology-enhanced
learning tools. Rimsha also served as a Health Science Tutor, offering personalized
tutoring sessions to students studying health science. Her dedication to education
and student success is further evident in her previous roles, such as her time as
a College Student Success Mentor at Hudson County Community College and an Academic
Affairs Ambassador, where she managed administrative tasks, maintained student and
faculty records, and coordinated academic materials and events. Rimsha’s experience
extends beyond the field of education, as she has worked in marketing, public health,
and healthcare, including positions as a Marketing Assistant, a Medical Assistant,
and a Marketing Assistant for a homeless shelter. Additionally, Rimsha has gained
exposure to the financial sector as a Grant Officer at NW Financial Group, LLC, and
she actively contributed to community engagement as a Community Expert at DVORA Life.
Rimsha holds a Master of Science in Public Health Education and Promotion from New
Jersey City University, a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Education and Promotion
from the same institution, and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Medical/Clinical
Assistant from Hudson County Community College. Her skills encompass office administration,
research, and project management, and they are proficient in multiple languages, including
English, Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu. She holds certifications in Mental Health First
Aid USA and Social and Behavioral Research, further exemplifying her commitment to
holistic well-being and community engagement. Rimsha’s academic achievements have
been recognized with honors and awards, including the HCCC Government Scholarship
and the All-State Academic Team 2020 designation.
