Hudson County Community College Invites the Community to Spice Up Their Cooking with a Thai Culinary Class

February 9, 2018, Jersey City, NJ - Hudson County Community College (HCCC) has a special opportunity for those who wish to expand their cooking expertise and explore the unique ingredients, techniques and authentic recipes of Thailand.

The College will hold a Thai Cooking class on Saturday, February 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Seven dishes will be included in the class, which will be held in the kitchens of the award-winning HCCC Culinary Arts Institute, located at 161 Newkirk Street in Jersey City – just two blocks from the Journal Square PATH Transportation Center. Space is limited, and cost is $45 per person.

Thai cuisine is one of the most distinctive of Southeast Asia. Those who attend will learn how to make savory Thai noodle, stir fry, chowder, soup, and salad dishes using a variety of spices such as ginger, curry powder, turmeric, and coriander. The dishes covered in the class include Pad Thai Shrimp, Pad See Ew Pork, Seafood-and-Coconut Green Curry, Beef Nam Tok with Sticky Rice, Deep Fried Whole Fish, Chicken Tom Kai, and Jasmine Rice.
