February 12, 2013, Jersey City, NJ – The Hudson County Community College (HCCC) Foundation announced that the North Hudson Scholarship Committee will hold a fundraiser to benefit HCCC students from the northern section of Hudson County on Thursday evening, February 28, 2013 at 6 p.m. The event will be held at Hijos y Amigos de Fomento, which is located at 522 38th Street in Union City. Complimentary parking will be available across the street from the venue after 6 p.m.
HCCC Vice President for Development Joseph Sansone said this event was originally scheduled for late last Fall but was postponed because of Hurricane Sandy. “The North Hudson Committee — and everyone associated with the Foundation — has been looking forward to this for a long time, and we think the weather will work in our favor this time,” he stated.
The event has been planned as an evening of great food and fun and will include a “tricky tray,” raffles, silent auction and other surprises. All of the proceeds from the event will be dedicated to providing scholarships for HCCC students from northern Hudson County.
Tickets for the North Hudson Scholarship Fundraiser are $50.00 and are available by contacting the Foundation Office at 201-360-4006 or by emailing jsansoneFREEHUDSONCOUNTYCOMMUNITYCOLLEGE.
