Hudson County Community College to Hold Information Session on the In-demand Field of Radiologic Technology

JERSEY CITY, N.J. / February 12, 2018 – Anyone who has broken a bone or needed a radiograph to diagnose a condition, has interacted with a Radiologic Technologist. This health care industry niche is brimming with career opportunities, and as the population ages, there will likely be an increase in medical conditions that require imaging as a tool for making diagnoses. Economically, the radiological technology field is expected to grow 13 percent from 2016 to 2026 – faster than the average for all occupations – and boasts a median salary of $58,960 a year, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Hudson County Community College (HCCC) will host an information session for individuals interested in becoming a Radiologic Technologist. The event, which will provide an opportunity to learn more about this in-demand career, will be held on Wednesday, March 7 at 3:30 p.m. at the HCCC Joseph Cundari Building, located at 870 Bergen Avenue on the College’s Journal Square Campus in Jersey City.
Radiologic technologists are important members of health care teams who are responsible in general for radiologic examinations of patients. Radiologic Technologists’ careers can lead in many directions. They can work in hospitals, outpatient clinics, or physicians’ offices. They can specialize in dozens of clinical areas.
