August 13, 2019, Jersey City, NJ – Presenting complex data in a clear, easily understandable manner by utilizing infographics is a valuable job/career skill. Infographics help turn text-heavy content like surveys, reports, summaries, research findings, comparisons, and statistics into simple visuals. They are used in administrative, educational, marketing, real estate, and a variety of other fields.
The Hudson County Community College (HCCC) Division of Continuing Education and Workforce Development is offering a noncredit Infographics workshop on Monday, August 26 through Wednesday, August 28, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m. The workshop will be held in the College’s Gabert Library at 71 Sip Avenue in Jersey City. Space is limited. The cost is $119 per person.
The workshop will explore approaches and concepts in technical illustration and infographics. Attendees will work with a skilled illustrator to learn methods for creating instructional visuals that seamlessly communicate messages to diverse audiences. Topics include “Reviewing Visual Literacy and Interpretations;” “Data Visualization;” “Audience Awareness;” “Psychology of Color;” “Methods of Analysis;” “Visual Design for Usability;” “Design Elements and Principles;” and “Effective Designs.”
