Hudson County Community College Offers Fall 2017 Family Classes

JERSEY CITY, N.J. / September 13, 2017 – Hudson County Community College’s Department of Non Traditional Programs will host a wide variety of Family Culinary Classes. The classes are perfect for families and offer fun for people of any age!
This season’s offerings:
Chocolate Delights
Saturday, October 7 from 2 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Learn how to make your own sweet treats
from start to finish. This class is also a great way to get introduced to milk, white,
and dark chocolate, and learning how to dip and garnish your confectionary creations.
Fall Harvest Pies
Sunday, November 12 from 2 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Learn how to make the perfect pie
crust and fillings from scratch, including Apple Pie, Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Pie, etc.
in this class.
Holiday Dessert Favorites
Sunday, December 3 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. With our chef, bake gingersnap cookies,
flourless chocolate cakes with a salted caramel sauce, an orange-zested cinnamon-cranberry
Bundt cake, and create white chocolate peppermint bark.
Winter Wonderland Cookies
Sunday, December 10 from 2 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Learn how to create snowmen, snowflakes,
mittens, and so much more out of a simple cookie dough. You will also learn how to
decorate them using an icing recipe that you can easily make at home!
Bread Baking Basics
Saturday, December 16 from 2 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Learn about tools you need, as well
as ingredients and techniques used by the professionals, to create quality in the
most delicious yeast breads and batter breads in the comfort of your own kitchen.
Tuition is $29 per person and class, classes will be held at the Journal Square campus. Payment is due at time of registry, and can be paid via cash or check in person and via credit card online.
