Jersey City, NJ – The Hudson County Community College Foundation is once again extending an invitation for area business people to take advantage of the innovative Subscription Dining Series, which affords a world-class dining experience while providing scholarships for deserving students.
The HCCC Foundation Subscription Dining Series offers opportunities for groups of four to enjoy world-class dining in the comfortable and elegantly appointed setting of the College’s Culinary Arts Institute Conference Center Dining Room at 161 Newkirk Street in Jersey City — just two blocks from the Journal Square PATH Station. (Parking is available directly across the street from the Culinary Arts Institute/Conference Center.)
Menus are planned and prepared by the Executive Chef and team of culinary professionals and students at the nationally acclaimed HCCC Culinary Arts Institute. The menus are different each week and include soup, appetizer, entrée and dessert courses as well as non-alcoholic beverages. (Beer, wine and cocktails are available for an additional nominal charge.)
The series began on Friday, September 28th, and the remaining seven dates for the series are Friday October 5th, October 12th, October 19th, October 26th, November 2nd, November 9th and November 16th. The cost for the entire eight-luncheon series was $995 for tables of four. Proceeds from the series will be utilized to provide financial aid for students. HCCC Vice President for Development Joseph Sansone said that there are a few tables still available and that those interested in securing reservations for all or a portion of the remaining dates may do so at a prorated fee.
“In this day when we are all looking at value, the Foundation Subscription Dining
Series is one of the best buys around,” Mr. Sansone said. “There are very few places
where one can enjoy a gourmet, four-course meal meticulously served in a beautiful
setting for just $31.10 per person.”
The Hudson County Community College Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 corporation providing tax-exempt status to contributors. Founded in 1997, the Foundation is dedicated to generating financial support for the College and its students, developing needs-based and merit scholarships, and providing seed money for innovative faculty development as well as the College’s physical expansion. Since its founding, the HCCC Foundation has provided scholarships to more than 1,000 students who otherwise might not have been able to pursue a college education.
The Subscription Dining Series began in 2010 as a result of several business people expressing the desire for more luncheon dining options.
Mr. Sansone said that in addition to the Dining Series, the Foundation is also preparing for its annual gala fundraiser — the “2012 Holiday Extravaganza” — which will take place on Thursday evening, December 6th.
