Jersey City, NJ – Individuals interested in attending Hudson County Community College may become better acquainted with the College and its offerings by attending any of a series of Information Sessions that will be held in early December and throughout January. The sessions will afford attendees the opportunity to learn about the College’s admission process, financial assistance, courses and degrees, career training programs, and opportunities to transfer to four-year institutions after attaining an Associate degree from HCCC.
The following is the schedule for the Information Sessions:
HCCC President Dr. Glen Gabert said members of the College’s staff will be in attendance at the sessions to acquaint prospective students with the College’s for-credit and noncredit course offerings and to answer any questions about prerequisites for admission, as well as financial assistance and student support services, and extracurricular activities.
Dr. Gabert said that students have the option of pursuing studies at the Journal Square campus or the College’s North Hudson Higher Education Center — which is a complete campus under one roof. Classes are offered Monday through Friday from early morning throughout the evening, and on Saturdays and Sundays as well. The College also offers a number of classes online.
Hudson County Community College offers more than 50 degree and 15 certificate programs, including the renowned Culinary Arts program and the highly regarded nursing program. The College has general articulation agreements in position with Bloomfield College, Caldwell College, Centenary College, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Kean University, New Jersey City University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Ramapo College, Rutgers University, St. Peter’s University, Thomas Edison State College, and the University of Phoenix. A few months ago, HCCC signed an agreement with Saint Peter’s University, which allows HCCC grads to transfer to SPU for the same tuition as they would pay at a New Jersey State four-year institution — a huge savings for HCCC graduates!
“Hudson County Community College is dedicated to ensuring that our students succeed, and that means helping them access all the resources and assistance they may need,” Dr. Gabert stated.
