Hudson County Community College Art Students to Make Their Presentations Friday Morning

December 13, 2016

December 13, 2016, Jersey City, NJ – On Friday, December 16th, Fine Arts and Computer Arts students from Hudson County Community College (HCCC) will display their talents at the annual Fall Arts presentation. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the College’s Benjamin J. Dineen, III & Dennis C. Hull Gallery, which is located on the sixth floor of the Library Building at 71 Sip Avenue in Jersey City.

Immediately following the students’ presentations, there will be a screening of the film, TOUCH, which was written and directed by – and also co-stars – local journalist and HCCC Digital Video student Sally Deering. The film’s plot centers around a former dancer with the American Ballet Theatre who recently lost her sight and finds herself in a clash of misunderstandings with her new home health aide.

Ms. Deering’s fellow students were also involved in the film’s production, including co-star Ny’kera Washington, Director of Photography Kevin Rangel, Editor Melvona Hicks, Grip Olga Doutkevich and Special Effects person Fermin Mendoza.

TOUCH was screened at the Golden Door International Film Festival in Jersey City in September.

The community is invited to attend the presentations and the film screening. There is no charge for admission.
