New NJ SNAP eligibility criteria as it pertains to students enrolled in post-secondary education and programs that are acceptable equivalent to the NJ SNAP Employment and Training (E&T) component exclusion:
Check to see if you are eligible for NJ SNAP. You can use the screening tool available at www.NJHelps.org. Eligibility depends on several factors like income, household size, resources, etc.
Submit an online application: https://njfc.force.com/njhelps/NJHelpsHomePage.
For information for the required supporting documents, go to the NJ SNAP Checklist (BROKEN LINK!).
If you are enrolled at least half-time (6 or more credits), in addition to income eligibility factors the County Board of Social Services will need verification from the school to confirm that your program is approved.
You can download a copy of the verification form: NJ SNAP Student Eligibility Verification Form (BROKEN LINK!)
