Student Leadership Opportunities

Turning Students into Professionals

HCCC is dedicated to building leaders to reach their goals and make the world around them a better place. In addition to taking on a leadership role in the SGA, clubs, and honor societies, we offer the following opportunities.

Peer Leaders

The Peer Leader program is a part time employment paraprofessional opportunity for students. In this role, students serve as New Student Orientation leaders while also working within a myriad of areas in the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment, including Enrollment and Advising. Peer Leaders play a vital role in assisting new students from enrollment to graduation.

The Orator

The HCCC's student newspaper, The Orator, provides an opportunity for students interested in journalism, creative writing, photography and art to express their opinion and views regarding HCCC politics, community events, world issues, health matters, music, poetry, and more.
