Foundation Scholarships
Foundation Scholarship Opportunities
The Hudson County Community College Foundation offers a variety of scholarships to qualified applicants. Students may receive one Foundation Scholarship in a given semester. Scholarships must be used in the academic year for which they are awarded. Students receiving scholarships must be enrolled in a degree-seeking matriculated program. Students may reapply for scholarships each spring.All students entering HCCC or currently enrolled students with GPAs of 2.0 to 4.0 are eligible for scholarships. ESL and Academic Foundation students are also eligible for scholarships.
Government Foundation Scholarship
HCCC participates in other student scholarships, such as the Hudson County Government
Scholarship Program. Check with your advisor for further information.
Scholarships are awarded to continuing HCCC students, but new students may be awarded
scholarships on a case-by-case basis.
Javedd Khan Essay Prize Competition
The Javedd Khan Essay Prizes are named in memory of a beloved and challenging teacher
of writing and the humanities and are awarded annually.
The goal of the JKE Prize competition is to promote thoughtful student engagement
with the world around them as well-informed critical thinkers and skillful communicators.

No Gift Is Too Small...
Each year, there are several opportunities for individuals, businesses and organizations to participate in Foundation fundraising activities. The Board of Directors plan and hold four major annual fundraisers and there are also opportunities for donors to contribute to special projects and events. As a 501 (c) 3 corporation, the Hudson County Community College Foundation provides tax-exempt status to contributions.
