July 24, 2019, Jersey City, NJ – Hudson County Community College (HCCC) will hold its next “One Stop” event at the new HCCC Secaucus Center on the Frank J. Gargiulo Campus of Hudson County Schools of Technology. The HCCC Secaucus Center is located at One High Tech Way in Secaucus, NJ.
The event, which will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., will provide potential students with assistance in each step of Fall semester registration, including applying, testing, and registering. Those who enroll in person that day will have the $25 application waived and will receive a free gift. Also, potential students will be able to tour the HCCC Secaucus Center, which will begin offering weekday evening courses on September 25, 2019.
At the HCCC “One Stop” event, the College’s award-winning student-support services team will provide information on the application and acceptance processes. The team will also share information on classes and courses that are available at the College’s Journal Square (Jersey City) and North Hudson (Union City) Campuses, as well as those offered at the Secaucus Center and online. The team will also provide information on financial assistance, and will help in navigating through each step of the application process. Testing is available July 31 until 2 p.m.
Hudson County Community College serves more than 16,000 full- and part-time students annually. The College offers more than 60 degree and certificate programs, including award-winning English as a Second Language, STEM, Culinary Arts/Hospitality Management, Nursing and Allied Health, and Fine and Performing Arts. The HCCC Culinary Arts/Hospitality Management program was ranked number six in the U.S. by Best Choice Schools. Over 94% of HCCC Nursing program graduates passed the NCLEX first time out, placing the program’s graduates in the top tier of two- and four-year nursing programs nationwide. In 2017, the Equality of Opportunity Project ranked HCCC in the top 5% of 2,200 U.S. higher education institutions for social mobility.
Thanks to the College’s comprehensive financial aid programs and services, approximately 83% of HCCC students receive financial assistance. HCCC has partnerships with every major four-year college and university in the greater New Jersey-New York area, and many other institutions, so transferring for further undergraduate and graduate education is seamless.
The HCCC Secaucus Center is especially convenient for those who live or work in Hudson County's western municipalities. Situated in Secaucus and near Kearny, Harrison, and East Newark, the new state-of-the-art facility offers ample free parking. It is also conveniently located within one mile of the Frank Lautenberg Rail Station on County Road.
