November 18, 2019, Jersey City, NJ – The Hudson County Community College (HCCC) Division of Continuing Education will offer an intensive bootcamp that will prepare project managers to sit for examinations that lead to the industry-recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from Project Management Institute (PMI). The PMI PMP Certification is recognized throughout the world as the gold-standard credential for project managers in a variety of fields. The certification validates an individual’s competence to perform the role of project manager, and to lead and direct projects and teams. Increasingly, employers are screening candidates for the PMP credential before hiring them for project management jobs. Those who attain the certification realize salary increases averaging twenty percent.
The 43-hour, two-weekend bootcamp will be held on January 18 and 19, and January 25 and 26, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of various principles and processes involved in managing projects of any size, in any industry, as detailed in the most recent Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Online instructional support will also be offered throughout the course to ensure comprehension of the subject matter. The cost is $1,800, and payment plans are available.
Those who wish to participate in the bootcamp must hold a baccalaureate degree, and demonstrate at least 4,500 hours experience in leading and directing projects.
