HCCC Offers an Early-Registration Scholarship Incentive for Hudson County Residents Who Register for Spring 2018 Term by December 20, 2017

December 15, 2017, Jersey City, NJ – Hudson County residents interested in pursuing college studies during the Spring 2018 term at Hudson County Community College (HCCC) are encouraged to take advantage of a special incentive – a scholarship of up to $3,000 to cover tuition and books for that term.  The scholarships are being made available through the Hudson County Community College Foundation.

Eligible Hudson County residents registering as continuing or new students in-person or online by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017 will be entered into a random drawing for a scholarship of up to $3,000. An adjustment will be applied to tuition and fees (registration, general service, student activity, and technology fees) exclusively for the Spring 2018 term at HCCC.

Applicants must be Hudson County residents and U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the U.S.A.; returning students must be in good standing with a $0 balance owed for prior terms; LEAP and LEAP Culinary students are not eligible.

Hudson County Community College offers 64 degree and certificate programs, including the acclaimed STEM, Nursing, Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management, Criminal Justice, and Business courses. The 2017 Equality of Opportunity Project ranked HCCC in the top 120 of 2,200 U.S. higher education institutions for social mobility – the only community college in New Jersey’s top ten. The College’s Culinary Arts program is ranked number eight in the U.S., and with 93.75% of graduates passing the NCLEX first time out, the HCCC Nursing program is ranked number four among all New Jersey associate-degree, Registered Nursing programs.

HCCC students pay a fraction of the cost of tuition at a four-year college or university, and the College has one of the most successful financial aid and scholarship programs in New Jersey, with over 80% of HCCC students receiving assistance.

Classes for regular, off-campus and other classes begin Monday, Jan. 22, 2018. Spring Culinary Cycle I (daytime), and Online/Hybrid A classes also begin Jan. 22.  Classes for the Spring 12-week Quick Term session begin Monday, Feb. 12.
