Students should complete an “Intent to Enroll” form within their first 30 credits at their community college. Student’s who follow the Transfer Agreement Advising guide for Cybersecurity can rest assured that all of their credits will transfer over and they will be able to safely transfer to Rider University as a Junior. Note: students will still need to meet Rider standards for academic admissibility in order to be admitted to Rider.

There is no fee waiver code, since Rider does not charge an application fee to transfer students.

Applying to Rider is simple. Complete our transfer application, submit official transcripts from all colleges previously/currently attended, and wait for a decision. We use CommonApp or our in-house application. Apply now here: https://www.rider.edu/admissions/transfer/how-to-apply.

Rider University has a preferred application deadline of April 1st and preferred deposit deadline of May 1st for Fall term. Preferred application and deposit deadlines for Spring term are December 1st and January 10, retrospectively.  Student’s who are looking to be considered for the most amount of scholarships for Fall term will want to get their application in by February 1st.

Rider University does not have rolling admissions. Rider has Fall, Spring, and Summer starts. However, application and deposit deadlines are preferred, and there are benefits to meeting those deadlines. However, Rider Transfer Admissions will still consider applications turned in after stated deadlines.

Rider University refers to EOF as EOP (Educational Opportunity Program). Students should indicate that they are interested in EOP on their application. From there, students will need to complete the EOP Questionnaire and turn in requested documents. Rider does not accept Pass/Fail grades or any grades below a C.

Military credits are evaluated on a case by case basis, as long as Rider has an equivalent course.

Rider does not have a separate Transfer Orientation. However, there is a separate transfer breakout session during Orientation. The Rider University Financial Aid code is 002628.

While Rider does not have Transfer specific housing, transfer students who are transferring in as juniors will have access to apartments and suites usually reserved for upperclassmen. Our single room units are also very popular with our Transfer population. However, all housing is contingent on availability.
