What is Social Media Marketing?
Social Media Marketing is the use of social media platforms to allow you to connect with your audience to build your brand, increase sales, and drive website traffic. Consumers discover, learn about, follow, and shop from brands online. By not taking advantage of platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, you can be missing out on new prospects. This involves publishing great content on your social media profiles, listening to and engaging your followers, analyzing your results, and running social media advertisements.
School of Continuing Education and Workforce Development at Hudson County Community College offer a 36 hr. Social Media Marketing Certificate program where participants will learn how social networks are used to develop a two-way communication and create marketing strategies you can take back and integrate into your communication and marketing skillset. Participants will analyze, develop, implement, and evaluate media strategies as an integral part of the overall marketing communications strategy throughout the program. The course will focus on how Social Media strategies can be used effectively in marketing communications programs, what Social Media platforms should/should not be used, how to build engagement, and how to measure, track, and evaluate performance and effectiveness.
