Hudson County Community College faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend
each month's Town Hall meeting, hosted by Dr. Chris Reber, HCCC President.
HCCC President Dr. Chris Reber introduces Dr. Darryl Jones, Associate Vice President
for Academic Affairs, and discusses the results of the Institutional Capacity Assessment
Tool (ICAT) and DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) Climate Surveys.
HCCC President Dr. Chris Reber and campus leaders provide updates on the PACDEI and
ICAT surveys, campus facilities, and the College’s attendance at the HACU Conference.
HCCC President Dr. Chris Reber discusses the College’s participation in the ACCT Congress
in San Francisco, developments in the STEM Division, and progress in the work of the
President’s Advisory Council on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (PACDEI) and Dream
Team.
HCCC President Dr. Chris Reber acknowledges new members of the College community,
and provides updates on the President’s Advisory Council on Diversity, Equity, and
Inclusion, as well as increases in recruitment and retention. Community members gave
updates on Achieving the Dream, the Phi Theta Kappa Service Project, and Hudson Helps.
HCCC President Dr. Chris Reber shares several positive updates as the College prepares
for the 2019-20 academic year.
On Tuesday, Aug. 27, Dr. Mary Fifield, HCCC’s Leadership Coach, and Dr. Rene Garcia,
HCCC’s Data Coach, made their inaugural visit to HCCC, meeting with the President’s
Executive Council and conducting two Town Hall Sessions to discuss their roles as
Achieving the Dream Coaches.
This month, Dr. Reber is joined by HCCC Alums Reyhan Lalaoui, Rene Hewitt, and Dr.
Nadia Hedhli who discuss their time at HCCC and how it assisted them in life after.
Dr. Reber discusses the status of the College as a new ATD member, establishment of
a campus Food Pantry, and preparations for the Middle States Evaluation Team visit.
