Great leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators all share one thing in common: the ability to think critically. In a fast-changing world full of opinions, data, and daily decisions, learning to think clearly and independently is one of the most powerful skills you can build.
Ever wonder why some people seem to make smarter choices or come up with better solutions
faster? This course helps you master the skill that top employers, leaders, and creators
all value: critical thinking. You’ll strengthen your decision-making, communication,
and problem-solving abilities through real-world case studies, short videos, and interactive
activities about modern
life and work.
You’ll explore how companies, influencers, and changemakers use critical thinking to generate new ideas, solve challenges, and make confident choices, and how you can apply those same strategies to your own goals.
By the end, you’ll walk away with tools to think strategically about your future, evaluate information wisely, and express your ideas with clarity and confidence: all while developing your own “boss mindset.”
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
In addition to the in-person meetings that will take place on Saturday and Sunday, this class will include pre-assignments and post-assignments as part of the 36-hour class.
You will be invited to join Google Classroom 2 weeks before class starts, which is the platform we use for our class. Check your spam folder, as invitations to join Google Classroom sometimes end up there. Please make sure you register for the course with a valid email address, since this is where you will receive the invitation and later, your certificate. Your email has to be Google compatible, so it’s best to use gmail, outlook, hotmail or yahoo. If you do not receive a notification to join Google Classroom, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to contact us.
The pre-assignments will be posted on Google Classroom 2 weeks before class starts. Make sure you join Google Classroom early and complete the assignment BEFORE coming to class. It will take you approximately 9 hours to complete
The follow-up assignment will be posted on Google Classroom on the weekend of class, and also consist of 9 hours. You will have 3 weeks to complete the post-assignments. You must complete them in order to receive your course completion certificate. The course completion certificate will be emailed to you, on the following Thursday, after the official class end date.
Early certificates: The earliest that you can receive your certificate is ONE WEEK after the in-person class. You MUST successfully complete all pre- and post- assignments in order to receive your course completion certificate and you must allow at least 3-4 days for your instructor to grade all your work and Classroom Au Pair to issue the certificate. It is NOT possible to complete all work and receive the certificate in ONE day! Email your instructor once you have completed all your work.
Attendance is mandatory Saturday and Sunday. If you are late or leave early, you will not receive a course completion certificate. Please note, that this is a weekend intensive class and the days are long. We expect you to come to class well rested and ready to participate

This class will consist of readings and assignments posted on Google Classroom and TWO scheduled zoom sessions (zoom is a video conference app.) You will only have two zoom meetings the first weekend of class, and then work independently on your assignments for the remaining 4 weeks. Please make sure you register for the course with a valid email address, since this is where you will receive an invitation notification to join Google Classroom. Both zoom and Google Classroom are free platforms and easy to use. You will be invited to join Google Classroom a week before class starts. Make sure you check your spam/junk folder, as invitations to join Google Classroom sometimes end up there. Your email must be Google compatible, so it’s best if you use gmail, hotmail or yahoo. If you don’t receive a notification before class starts, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to contact us.
There is NO pre-assignment for the online class. You might however be asked by your instructor, a few days in advance, to prepare a little bit for the first zoom meeting. The course syllabus, all readings and assignments will be posted on Google Classroom before the first zoom meeting.
Please note that all zoom sessions are scheduled in Eastern Time (New York City). Please check which time zone you are in, and make sure you attend the zoom sessions on time!
You will attend the Zoom sessions by going to zoom.us and clicking “Join Meeting.” You will then enter a meeting ID number that will be provided to you. You can join via a computer, iPad or phone! We would prefer to see you, but if you do not have a camera on your computer, that’s ok. You can join via audio only. There is also an option to call in from your phone, in case your computer audio has any trouble connecting.
Attendance during the scheduled zoom sessions IS MANDATORY and we will be taking attendance! If you do not attend these, you will NOT receive a course completion certificate. Meetings are not recorded and there are no make-up sessions. It is not possible to sign up for a new class if you miss the zoom meetings – you will have to pay for a new class! Other than the zoom sessions, the class is self-paced and you will be free to work on your assignments whenever you can. You will have 4 weeks to complete all assignments and course requirements.
