AI Resource Hub

Welcome to the HCCC Artificial Intelligence Resource Hub

Your go-to place for education and inspiration on the ethical and effective use of AI. Whether you’re a student, instructor, or staff member, you’ll find valuable resources to navigate the changing educational landscape.

These resources emphasize responsible AI use to ensure academic integrity remains central to our mission of providing high-quality programs that promote student success. By building shared best practices for AI, we can create an inclusive environment where everyone can participate confidently.

AI Resources

HCCC has approved a new Governance Recommendation regarding including an Artificial Intelligence (AI) statement in your course syllabus. An AI usage statement in your syllabus promotes transparency by clarifying how AI can be used in your class. It sets expectations, reduces confusion, and helps students avoid mistakes. A clear statement builds trust and prepares students to use AI thoughtfully.

Here’s a collection of resources to help you explore how AI tools can help you learn and work. Think of AI as your partner; it can help you brainstorm ideas, organize information, create content, and more. The key is using it thoughtfully: AI isn’t a replacement for your creativity and critical thinking; it works best when you apply your expertise and judgment to each task. You’ll get the most out of using AI tools by learning to prompt effectively, evaluate the AI’s responses, and connect the insights you discover to your work.

Artificial intelligence is reshaping higher education, changing how we teach, assess, and support students. This shift raises key questions for faculty: How do we build AI fluency for ourselves? How do we guide students toward critical, thoughtful use? And how do we balance human creativity with machine intelligence?

These resources provide fresh perspectives to help you navigate those questions. Explore course-ready ideas, strategies for teaching AI fluency, and new ways to think about assessment.

Welcome to the student section of the AI Resource Hub. We’re glad you’re here. Think of AI as your study sidekick. It can break down complex concepts into simple terms, create practice quizzes, and summarize dense readings so you can focus on what matters most.

But here’s the thing: AI is your helper, not your replacement. Keep taking notes, asking questions, and working with classmates; these human connections and critical thinking skills are irreplaceable. Remember that real learning comes from actively engaging, not just consuming answers.

How to use AI responsibly:

  • Use AI to support, not replace, your work.
  • Be original. Copying AI content is plagiarism.
  • Double-check everything. AI isn't always right!
  • Reflect on how and why you're using AI tools.
  • Be transparent. Cite which tools and prompts you use.
  • Adhere to the principle of Academic Integrity.

AI tools are transforming the way we learn, teach, and create. Platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, NotebookLM, Perplexity, and Copilot provide innovative ways to write, research, and think. However, they also raise important questions about authorship, critical thinking, and the role of technology in education.

This section encourages you to reflect on the tools you use and the reasons behind your choices. Here, you’ll find guides and tutorials exploring AI's educational opportunities and challenges, along with insights on equity, ethics, and best practices.

Working with AI means asking not just what it can do but what we should do.

AI is transforming how we learn and think. But with these new tools come big questions: How do we truly know what we know? Are we letting chatbots take over too much of our thinking? Is AI the end of thinking or the start of new ways to think together?

AI can be a powerful partner, but the partnership depends on us. Our creativity, curiosity, critical thinking, and ethical judgment keep the human perspective at the center of the conversation. AI may provide accurate answers, but we must ask the right questions about how we shape the future together.
