with Student Life and Leadership presented the Attitudes in Reverse, In Their Shoes
Exhibition at the North Hudson Campus. There were over 100 students, faculty, and
staff in attendance. Partners in Prevention provided self-care items and resources
                           to our students and staff.
The exhibit consists of 277 pairs of shoes to represent the New Jersey youth, ages
10 through 24, who lost hope and ended their lives in the years 2014 - 2016. Most
of the people 196, were young men. This exhibit lets young people know that they are
not alone in their struggles and encourages them to seek help. In addition, the In
Their Shoes exhibit increases understanding, empathy, and kindness towards those who
might be struggling in silence. It’s important to bring awareness for suicide prevention
                           within our community.
