I enlisted into the US Army after graduating from High School in 2012 to attend One Station Unit Training to become a Military Police Officer in which he returned back home to New Jersey in 2013. After which I found a personal challenge to balance not only my military commitment but to pursue an education. Enrolling to HCCC I was taken aback by the amazing support the professors, and other faculty staff provided to accommodate my military obligation and consistently working with me during my leaves of absence. Directly leading to my success at HCCC especially in 2014 when I deployed for a year to work under a Pentagon Joint Task Force in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Returning in 2015 HCCC once again provided a hassle free transition back to my civilian life and education to which I graduated with Honors in 2016 with a degree and Associates in Accounting. HCCC went above and beyond to ensure I had the optimal opportunity to complete my exams and assignments early for I received orders to deploy to Grafenwöhr, Germany for a year. If it were not for this my education pursuit would have been delayed for years. This provided precedence and hope to pursue my Bachelors when I got accepted into Rutgers University. In 2017 I deployed as a protective service agent under Operation Freedom Sentinel to Kabul Afghanistan as part of a protective service team to the Commanding General. After returning home in 2018, I continued and completed my Bachelors and currently work as a financial operations analyst for Morgan Stanley in NYC. Still serving in the Military and am currently on my fourth deployment serving as the movement operations officer in Ferizaj, Kosovo in support of Operation Joint Guardian, while taking online classes towards an MBA.

The positive climate and support from HCCC sparked a drive and direction I needed in order to balance my personal and professional growth, inspiring me to be the best that I can be.

I enjoyed HCCC the professors who are loyal & can help me all the way through my journey through the college. It’s a college that made me feel motivated and comfortable from where I stand. It most definitely prepared me to become a future entrepreneur. The classes may have been above and beyond the work, but it was all worth it. NJC4 was very interesting from my point of view because I know how businesses should compete with one another. I loved how my team members were going deep with the details and we had to learn the real meaning of business during challenging times. I know how to act like a businessperson. HCCC is a college that’s amazing and spectacular in its own ways. It’s a college I’ll never forget!!

Hudson has helped me because it was a firm foundation of who I am today and I can always grab from experiences lived there to go for more. Hold unto every experience that life gives you and see it as the only opportunity that life will give you
